Your very own private adventure!

Bluesails Island hopping adventures are offered either as single day trips (Tuesday-Thursday only) @SGD295 per person (minimum 4 people) OR in combination with our fishing package. For a combination of fishing and island hopping just add an extra SGD50.00 per head to the weekend fishing package (ie: based on minimum 4 persons). This is to cover the additional fuel costs.

The itinerary for both trips is as follows:

The trip starts in Singapore at 5am when it’s still dark and the immigration checkpoint is practically deserted. After clearing the Woodlands checkpoint we pass through the town of Johor where the streets are still quiet and empty, and begin our journey up the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia.

By dawn, we’ve left civilisation behind and are winding past pretty kampongs (villages), between dense tracts of jungle, or through endless tunnels of palm oil plantations. We arrive in the town of Mersing at about 8am where we make a quick stop, then continue along the final stretch of road between Mersing and Kuala Rompin. Jungle rises up on both sides, a narrow winding road dips and rises like a roller coaster, families of monkeys scratch themselves at the side of the road, one group after another, and ancient trees tower overhead.

We reach Rompin town at about 9am and have breakfast at a local coffee shop. Breakfast consists of the best roti prata we’ve ever tasted (prata is the local equivalent of a croissant), and thick sweet teh tarik (tea mixed with condensed milk- a local favourite). We then head to the main jetty and board the boat for our island hopping adventure.

The islands that we visit are located in a marine park (approx 1hr from shore) and are uninhabited paradises surrounded by clear aquamarine and emerald water, lapped by soft waves, with jungle rising up on all sides, and beaches of powder white sand studded with sea shells and coral.
